Children tend to become restless and troublesome when they have to wait at the doctors waiting room. For this reason Something for Kids developed its entertainment system, which not only keeps children busy playing, but also assures parents of their offspring's safety and pleases doctors with its maintenance of their clinics' hygiene. The system consists of a toy station, a box of disinfectant wipes and a collection of toys which are attached to play boards. Starting off with the toy station, this can be found in 5 different models - WeeWall, GigaWall, Mr. Waddles, Pan and TB. The WeeWall, GigaWall and TB are mainly wall units that can be added to a doctors waiting room with wall space. As for Pan and Mr. Waddles, both of these models are floor stations, thus useful in places with ample room.
The doctors waiting room toy station units are made of wood and can accommodate different numbers of toys on them. The WeeWall model can have 5 toys mounted on it while the GigaWall design can have 8. Both of these models come with a separate station for disinfectant wipes. As for Mr. Waddles, this two-sided floor station can have 8 toys attached to it, whereas the sanitary wipes are located on top. The Pan model can allocate 12 toys along its 3 sides while the wipes are placed on top of the unit. As for the TB design, 2, 3, 4 or 8 toys can be placed on it while the wipes are placed in a small shelf at the top.
As for the toys used in the system, they are mainly electronic games that have been personalized to be silent, thus others in the doctors waiting room will not be disturbed by the games' sound effects. In addition, prior to their shipment, toys are inspected in order to make sure that they are not hazardous in any way to the kids playing with them. This regular survey also helps in providing playthings that are in a good condition to the client.
After the initial shipment, toys will be exchanged on a monthly basis to add more variety to the entertainment center placed for children at a doctors waiting room. Returned toys will be checked for wear and tear and then disinfected before being sent to another client. If the damage is too visible, the toys will simply be removed from use without billing their costs to their previous owner.
